Research & Initiatives
Future activities of the FASTER Collective include the following:

-
Foster opportunities for knowledge exchange across disciplines and sectors to explore how FASTER has been or may be applied, to examine implementation of the four guiding principles, and to learn more about the diversity of research methods and designs appropriate for technology-based intervention development and evaluation;
-
Look at industry methods like the Lean approach and how it can work with FASTER to facilitate transfer to market processes;
-
Collaborate to create a checklist to accompany FASTER that allows standardized reporting of considerations and outcomes for each of the three phases of FASTER;
-
Create a living repository of research methods and designs that have been used by others to develop and evaluate technology-based interventions and a tool to support methods and design selection depending on the study goals and maturity of the intervention; and
-
Collaborate to develop a framework to classify interventions according to various domains (e.g. risks of use, outcomes), and the type and extent of evidence required for implementation and develop guidance for clinical reasoning around practice integration or commercialization.
